Think all work suits are boring? Think again. Who says your 9 to 5 suit has to be stiff, boring and conservative? Keep your look professional and sophisticated while on the job with the new sleek, stylish and feminine pant suit silhouette.

This season brings us a whole new look in suiting that's perfect for work and maybe even a dressy night out. The crucial board room-to-cocktails changeover has never been more interesting. You can play with a mix of feminine details and unexpected hues with the essential suit elements and look tough-yet-Ladylike. With these fresh modern cuts you can take a little fashion risk while still keeping the look refined and appropriate.

Be it the traditional black and white ensemble, bright coloured pieces or even pieces with bold prints, there are tons of ways to give your pant suit a fresh sexy vibe without looking like you stole your man's clothes.

We've seen celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johannson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tiwa Savage, Waje and even Genevieve Nnaji rock beautiful pant suits and look absolutely stunning. Pant suits are definitely having a moment.
This borrowed-from-the-boys look is relatively easy to rock and would look great on most body types.
Wondering how you can pull it off? Here are a few pointers:

1. Make sure your trouser length is just right. For full length pants, it shouldn't be 'sweeping the floor' or 'jumping' as my grandmother would say. LOL. If you're going for a suit with cropped pants, ensure that the pants end around the area of your calf that make your legs look most attractive.

2. You don't have to be matchy-matchy. Most fabulous suits don't come put together. You can mix tops and bottoms in different colours and prints and still achieve a structured silhouette. Pair dark solids with bright prints for an edgy look.

3. The blazer is one of the most important parts of the suit. If this fits right, you've scored major cool points already. Whether its a long-sleeve, short sleeve or sleeveless blazer, be sure that its tailored right and fits perfectly around your shoulders and arms.

4. Loosen up a little. For a fresh, laid back look, pop open your blazer button and breathe. This helps in making the suit look less businessy and serious when you're rocking it out on the town.

5. Wear heels for goodness sakes! Pant suits look ah-mazing with pointy court shoes, ankle strap stilettos and even round toe pumps. Please please do not wear your pant suit with wedge heels, mules or clogs. If you want to go the more casual route and wear flats, brogues do look pretty chic with pant suits.

6. Accessorize! This menswear inspired fashion needs all the help it can get to look feminine. Be sure to spice up your outfit with bright accessories.  Put aside the usual chunky necklaces and opt a funky bowtie. A statement bag/clutch are also necessities.

So ladies, go forth and get suited up! :)
